School flooded and water infiltration in the electrical system. This is the result of the vandalism raid in the De Castro High School in Terralba: on Saturday night someone entered the school leaving the bathroom taps and radiator valves open. The first and second floors were flooded, hence the decision to keep the school closed today and tomorrow.

It was the school staff who discovered what had happened when they found the floors flooded. "Someone, presumably during the night between Saturday and Sunday, managed to get in," explained the school principal Pino Tilocca, "and opened the bathroom taps, blocking the sinks with sheets of paper." It is not clear whether they acted regardless of the alarm (which promptly went off), but they certainly managed to carry out their plan: little by little the first and second floors were flooded.

The water stagnated for a long time, there were leaks in the electrical system. "The technicians of the Province intervened immediately to fix the ceiling lights and make the system safe, damage and inconvenience were significant", Tilocca underlined, "but fortunately the laboratories where there are various technological equipment were not affected".

The firefighters and the Carabinieri intervened in via Rio Mogoro to verify any problems of accessibility. Investigations are underway to try to trace those responsible for the vandalism raid.
