Possible new developments in the homicide investigation that the Oristano prosecutor's office has opened for the death of Giovanni Cuccu , the 48-year-old from Quartu who died at Brotzu where he had arrived at the end of his life after an evening spent in Terralba at a friend's house.

Today the carabinieri of the Operations Department and of the Oristano company and the Ris are carrying out unrepeatable technical checks in the house in via Eleonora D'Arborea 26 in Terralba.

We are looking for useful elements to clarify Cuccu's death.

The owner of the house, Antonio Masala, assisted by the lawyer Rossella Oppo, received a notice of guarantee, a necessary deed to allow for the investigations.

The episode dates back to February 21st: Cuccu was found in very serious conditions, Masala - a retired financier - claimed that he had fallen and violently slammed against the headboard of the bed . Transported the next morning to the Brotzu, he died shortly after. It was the doctors who reported the fact to the prosecutor because they had noticed some suspicious elements. Hence the murder investigation.
