An arson attack during the night destroyed the car of the 54-year-old who was stabbed on 29 June in Nuoro after the celebrations for the feast of Saint Peter and Paul.
The car that was parked in the man's courtyard, in via Toddotana on the outskirts of the city, was consumed by flames.
The intervention of a fire brigade team, which put out the fire, was unable to save the vehicle.
State Police officers arrived on site to investigate .
Nuoro prosecutor Ireno Satta has opened an investigation into the stabbing against the alleged perpetrator .
The victim was transported to the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro, where he underwent surgery for the damage that the blows caused to his abdomen.
Investigators are now investigating to trace the perpetrator of the arson attack.
