The discovery occurred once Don Silvio Foddis, parish priest of Arborea since 2005, opened the Pec received from the Municipality . Much regret on the part of the priest, but also a pinch of anger. Don Silvio Foddis did not want to hide what happened. That's why yesterday afternoon, even before making the announcement from the altar, he wanted to use his Facebook page.

"It is right that the community knows the amount that our Municipality has decided for the parish - the priest comments - I used social media for this reason. Obviously I will not ask for any offerings from the town, I have never allowed myself to ask for money to pay the bills. But all this seems unfair and exaggerated to me. Last year the amount was lower".

The announced figure is the total of three bills.

"I just got the one from August, so it's already expired," he explains. "Then the ones expiring on October 31st and November 15th." The Tari that will have to be paid refers to the church, the hostel, the theater, the soccer field and the place that hosts the kids of the Salesian oratory. "So services for the whole community," continues Don Silvio Foddis. "These are buildings where the waste that is created is really very little, but since the square meters are considered, we too are subject to this figure."

The councilor for Urban Decorum, Programming and Budget, Antonella Cenghialta, comments: «If there is a surface that can produce waste, Tari one is calculated, it is the norm. The parish priest can ask the offices to evaluate any errors. It is true, however, that there have been increases, being a service influenced by costs related to energy».

Meanwhile, the priest's post that appeared yesterday on the Facebook page has been deleted this morning.
