The assembly was opened by the speech of the mayor Gian Luigi Farris, in the presence of the president Alessandra Todde, the deputies Pietro Pittalis and Emiliano Fenu, the regional councilor Franco Mula, as well as several mayors of the territory and Daniela Falconi, president of the Anci. At the end there will be a torchlight procession.

"I am here," said Todde, "to strongly affirm our closeness and support to the citizens, to the civil, religious and military institutions, which have been hit by a growing wave of attacks. A hard-working community, that of Siniscola, which works hard to ensure a future for its children and to ensure that the territory has a prospect of progress."

"A community of people - he added - with a straight back, who do not allow themselves to be intimidated. The authors of these vile acts must be very clear that we will not take a step back and that we will oppose them with the utmost determination . Violence and intimidation against communities, citizens and institutions are practices that we must relegate to the past. I do not want to use the term solidarity. Because solidarity is expressed towards those who suffer harm, an injustice that does not directly concern us. What is happening in Siniscola instead concerns all Sardinians, it affects the whole of Sardinia. This is why the Region is there and will always be there ".

Pietro Pittalis (FI): « We are here to bring firm and convinced solidarity to the entire local community , to condemn these criminal episodes and create the conditions for politics to be united on these issues in forcefully rejecting attempts to destabilize industrious communities like those of Baronia. I have asked Minister Piantedosi to intensify actions to prevent and repress these criminal acts . I hope that there can soon be an intervention to strengthen the units that are essential to guarantee serenity and security to citizens».
