Ammunition compatible with the AK-47 assault rifle, known as Kalashnikov – a weapon sadly known for being often used in attacks on armored vehicles – weapons, ammunition and explosives : this is the result of the operation conducted by the Carabinieri of the Macomer Company and the Silanus Station after the events that occurred on 26 December 2025 in Marghine .
During the searches, the Carabinieri officers charged four people, all from Silanus, and seized various illegally held materials . In total , six people were searched.
A 21-year-old man was found in possession of a cartridge compatible with the AK-47 "Kalashnikov" assault rifle, which he had been carrying without authorization. Another 28-year-old man was found in possession of six illegal firearms and approximately 60 grams of gunpowder, which investigators believe are compatible with those used to damage several homes in the historic center of Marghine.
During the operation, it also emerged that a 59-year-old man was illegally possessing a muzzle-loading shotgun with sawn-off barrels in his home, while a 22-year-old boy was illegally carrying a harpoon gun and two spear guns.
The operation is part of a broader territorial control effort and was launched to address the spate of vandalism that has deeply shaken the local community. The investigation follows the activity of December 27th, when the Carabinieri arrested a person found in possession of marijuana and six landmines.
The interventions by the police aim to shed full light on the dangerous explosions that occurred during the “Cosas Bonas” demonstration , which caused damage to some homes and to the trachyte arch created by the artist Pinuccio Sciola , in addition to the serious tension recorded on Christmas night, when several dozen people had threateningly surrounded the State Police officers engaged in a check.
