Metalworkers are demanding answers from politicians regarding the future of Sider Alloys in Portovesme . Following the information meeting held this morning in Carbonia , attended by Sider Alloys and GMS workers, as well as former Alcoa workers on temporary layoff, a delegation departed for Cagliari , heading to the Industry Department, to demand answers regarding the Sider Alloys case.

For months, metalworkers' unions have been calling for a discontinuation of management of the former aluminum factory, hoping for the arrival of new investors.

This morning, after the meeting, a sit-in took place in front of the council office to request answers about the future of the production site.
