Antonello Regaglia, the 55-year-old farmer from Pattada, was the victim of an ambush . He was seriously injured by rifle shots last night while he was driving to his farm .

According to the reconstruction of the Ozieri Carabinieri, the shooter was stationed near Regaglia's land, and as soon as he saw him, he shot him, wounding him in the chest. The bullets passed through the windshield. The man managed to get into his car and drive to the home of his brother, Mimmia Regaglia , councilor for Agriculture and the Environment in the council of the mayor of Pattada, Angelo Sini.

Rescued by his brother, he was first transported to the hospital in the metropolitan city, then urgently transferred to the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari, where he underwent delicate surgery during the night.

The farmer's condition is serious , even if the buckshot did not damage vital organs, the man lost a lot of blood.

The Carabinieri are already on the trail of the perpetrator of the attack. It appears to be another farmer who had previously had disagreements with Regaglia .
