Settimo celebrates its patron saint, San Pietro, until Tuesday, one of the most important festivals in the hinterland with roots that go back a long way .
This morning the traditional procession around the splendid country church, surrounded by olive trees and pine trees , was renewed: the rite was celebrated by the parish priest Don Giuseppe Orrù who then celebrated mass under the trees.
The celebrations continue tonight: at 5:00 PM, the marching band will enter the village. At 6:30 PM, Mass will be held in the countryside.
The procession for the return of Saint Peter to the parish will follow. The Giuseppe Verdi marching band from Sinnai, the folk groups of Settimo: Pro Loco, "Parcu Culturali Cantadoris," Nuraghe, Santa Lucia, "S'Acqua is Dolus," and various religious associations will be present. At 10:00 pm, a musical evening with "I Combricola" will take place.
Tomorrow, Monday, at 10 p.m., there's a show with Tazenda . Tuesday, also at 10 p.m., another musical show, "Puzzle," with comedian Giuseppe Masia.
