The worker from Sestu, arrested by the Carabinieri on December 31st on charges of illegal possession of explosives , appeared this morning before the sole judge of the Court of Cagliari. His lawyer requested and obtained the terms of defense for the suspect. The judge validated the arrest and ordered his release pending the new hearing.

The worker, who was under house arrest, was thus released from prison. In his home the Carabinieri of Sestu had recovered and seized on New Year's Eve, as stated in the Carabinieri press release, " explosive materials of various kinds, including illegal and home-made pyrotechnic devices, for a total weight of 4.6 kilograms ."

The blitz was carried out by the Carabinieri of the Sestu station, coordinated by Lieutenant Riccardo Pirali, who are now investigating to trace the origin of the explosive.
