The former director of the Law department Gian Paolo Demuro was acquitted of the charge of having "piloted" a university competition in Sassari .

This was decided by the preliminary hearing judge Sergio De Luca, decreeing that "the fact does not exist" and thus closing a judicial episode which saw the criminal law professor go through a long process of investigations, dismissals, reopening of investigations until yesterday's decision which decrees total non-involvement in the disputed facts.

For the same crime, the disturbed freedom of the enchantments, ten other people, including teachers and researchers, are facing a trial before judge Claudia Sechi , sent to trial last year because they would have disturbed the procedure which was, in one case, supposed to recruit a university researcher in the field of tax law and, in the other, award a one-year grant in the same sector.

According to the prosecution, supported by the prosecutor Giovanni Porcheddu, a sort of tailor-made notice would have been created for the two people . Professor Demuro had been involved in the affair of the post of Tax Law but he himself, defended by the lawyer Marco Costa, demonstrated before the judge for the preliminary hearings that the announcement was entirely compliant with ministerial regulations. The public prosecutor himself also asked for no further proceedings in the Chamber yesterday .
