Great emotion, yesterday at the Teatro Comunale of Sassari, during the ceremony for the 250 years of life of the Guardia di Finanza. The commander of the Fiamme Gialle of the Turritan capital, Colonel Stefano Rebechesu, wanted to remember the death in Valtellina two days ago of three young financiers, Luca Piani, Alessandro Pozzi and Simone Giacomelli, who died during an exercise.

«We want to think of them with a symbolic moment», states the soldier, «please stand up and observe a minute of reflection together». Long applause at the end of the silence in memory of the three representatives of Finance.

Rebechesu himself focused on the value of what the GdF achieved with the two hundred and fifty-year anniversary. «This is a historic milestone and we celebrate it together with the citizens thanks to the homage of the Luigi Canepa Conservatory which dedicated the traditional concert in May to this anniversary».

«It's a wonderful celebration», reports the director of the Conservatory Mariano Meloni, «which sees our students and teachers engaged». The national anthem, that of the financier, was performed, and then music by Maurice Ravel, Franz Liszt with the pianist Gian Michele Milia, Igor Stravinsky and George Gershwin. The conservatory choir directed by Claudia Dolce and the orchestra led by Mattia Rondelli will perform.

«These students», reports the latter, «are a pride of the city. Higher education and culture are the forge of the city of tomorrow. It means creating the political res and the res publica of the future."
