A five-storey building in Sassari , in via Addis, was on fire.

Two minor children and three other people were taken to the emergency room under code red for fume inhalation. 118 and two fire brigade teams were on site.

The thick smoke produced by the fire, which is being investigated, invaded the stairwell. Rescuers evacuated the building: there were around thirty people inside, including two with walking problems. The flames, which broke out before 11am, apparently started from the general electrical panel located in the entrance hall of the building, which was evacuated but which did not suffer any structural damage.

In total, 16 units operated with the help of seven vehicles including two fire engines and a ladder truck.
