Mystery surrounding a dog found dead on the local road Ponte Pizzinnu, in the Sassari area. The animal, deceased for several days, had a blue cable around its neck, as attested by Sebastiano Candidda, president of the "National League for the Defense of the Porto Torres Dog".

"The dog, perhaps a Fonnese shepherd, was in a state of decomposition - he states - with its neck full of worms and this thread".

The hypothesis is that he may have been suffocated and killed, also because, as stated on the Facebook page "Amici degli animali Sassari e Nord Sardegna", that cable would usually be used to catch wild boars.

«To see clearly», continues Candidda, «I have submitted a report to the local police of Sassari asking for the carcass to be removed and to find out whether it has a microchip, in order to trace the owner, if necessary». But this is not the only instance. "I would like, if possible, that a necropsy report be carried out to reveal how he died." Meanwhile, the mystery continues and thoughts turn to the strange recent deaths of, in theory, man's best friends.
