From the elderly women of Orgosolo to the activists of Selargius , a colorful crowd of colored flags and slogans pinned on banners flocked to Codrongianos yesterday , from all over the island and beyond, to say "enough" to the savage onslaught of renewables .

On stage artists, musicians, representatives of the world of associations and institutions, many Sardinians without distinction of flag , and there was no intervention that did not recall the beauty of Sardinia against the backdrop of the basilica of Saccargia, a shining jewel of the Romanesque-Pisan endangered by the fury of the wind lords.

«Not even Pratobello, a battle that we won peacefully, had in its features the danger brought by these shovels», recalled Francesca Succu, 85 years old, from Orgolese. «Let those who were there in Pratobello tell you: we will win now too».

Then, between one song and another, the warning from Luigi Pisci, head of the committees against wind power : « Make sure , from the institutions to all of us, that anger does not take over democracy . Here they are stealing our land : be careful not to transform Saccargia and events like this into a huge public order problem . There will be a before and an after this great event . We want the urban planning law to prohibit this massacre in our Sardinia."

Also under scrutiny is the "weakness" of the Region's provision , with an appeal: assert autonomy in energy matters.
