The weather alarm in Sardinia does not return.

New, heavy storms are expected on the island and for this reason the regional civil protection has extended the yellow code warning of hydrogeological risk until the evening of Friday 2 June.

The alarm concerns in particular the areas of Campidano, Iglesiente, Montevecchio Pischinappiu, Tirso, Flumendosa Flumineddu, Gallura and Logudoro.

In the presence of thunderstorms, the regional civil protection itself advises you to «stay in your own homes; if you are in a basement or on the ground floor, go up to the upper floors; limit car transfers to emergencies only; keep informed on the evolution of the phenomena, on the measures to adopt, on the procedures to follow indicated by the territorial civil protection structures".

Furthermore, it is forbidden to cross flooded streams «on foot or by any means, to stop near bridges and banks of streams and/or rivers and to cross underpasses».

Warning note also from the Municipality of Cagliari, which warns that «in the territory of the Municipality of Pirri it is advisable to avoid parking in the streets: Balilla (from piazza Italia to via Dandolo) and side streets, Italia, Dolianova, Sinnai, Settimo, Mara, Donori, Santorre Di Santarosa, Confalonieri and Ampere. Cars parked in the aforementioned streets can be moved to the parking area of the municipal swimming pool of Terramaini, in via Pisano».
