A new wave of bad weather is arriving in Sardinia , caused by a vast disturbance which, currently centred on the Balkan area, will cause a significant worsening of weather conditions starting tomorrow ( Tuesday 17 September ), with rain and thunderstorms scattered across various areas of Italy.

Sardinia is among the ten regions for which a warning of adverse weather conditions has been issued, with widespread and persistent precipitation and the risk of strong thunderstorms. Hailstorms are also possible in some locations .

The yellow alert, from 9 am and for the whole day until midnight, concerns the eastern sector of the island: hydrogeological risk for storms on Flumendosa Flumineddu and hydrogeological risk on Gallura .
