Another day of overwork for Sardinia's firefighting teams.

On Saturday, 13 fires broke out in as many locations on the island.

There were two fronts that were the most challenging, where the intervention of air vehicles was also necessary.

In the Escalaplano countryside, a helicopter took off from the operational base of Villasalto to assist the teams on the ground coordinated by the Forestry Corps.

Alarm also occurred in the Dorgali area, where the men of the Dorgali and Orosei Forestry Department went into action, together with two Forestas teams and the Nuoro firefighters, with the support of a helicopter from above. The intervention of a Canadair coming from Rome's Ciampino airport was also requested.
