San Teodoro, falls from boat that starts out of control: fisherman found clinging to a buoy

A distraction while he was retrieving some equipment from the water, an unwanted blow to the control stick, which jammed. Result: the boat went out of control, he ended up in the sea.

A fisherman from San Teodoro had a tough time of it this morning after leaving Puntaldia to fix some nets. He managed to stay afloat by holding on to a buoy.

Someone saw the boat gone mad, traveling with no one on board, and called for help. The maritime direction of the Coast Guard of Olbia sent a patrol boat to the scene: the crew recovered the man, and then blocked the boat.

Despite the scare, the fisherman was in good condition, but was taken to hospital for checks.
