"Incomprehensible". This is how the mayor of Sassari Giuseppe Mascia comments on the new highway code that excludes the possibility of integration for blue parking spaces.

"We comply with the rules but we do not understand the rationale," says the mayor. "For many years, as Sassarese, we have benefited from a system that allowed us not to pay except for the duration of the parking - he adds - now we will have to pay in advance the money due for a longer parking than we expected, in order to avoid incurring a rather onerous fine ."

Meanwhile, the Infrastructure and Mobility sector and the local police are discussing with Saba Italia, which manages paid parking in Sassari. The need is to quickly adapt the signage and parking meters for automated payment.

"After so many years, this is a novelty that will have to be metabolized by the entire community, both by citizens and by the offices ," reports the councilor for Infrastructure for mobility and Traffic, Massimo Rizzu. "But in the meantime that the new ways of using the blue parking spaces are modified - maintains Mascia - it will be absolutely necessary not to assume harassing attitudes towards those who use a service that in certain areas of the city is indispensable ."

The new course established by the Salvini Decree will not change anything for those who use the applications and will therefore be able to extend the parking from their device and proceed with the payment based on their needs.
