"The Region will activate a technical table for the study and identification of the best operational strategies to contain the emergency from hydrogeological instability". This was announced by the Councilor for the Environment, Rosanna Laconi, who spoke remotely at the summit convened by the Prefect of Oristano, Salvatore Angieri, to take stock of the management of emergencies in the province.

" The recent flood event has confirmed the seriousness of the climate change underway , such as to require careful monitoring of the most critical points of the territory in terms of hydrogeological instability", said the government official who called for " permanent technical solutions in order to prevent traffic in the Terralba underpass in the event of heavy rainfall ".

The meeting was also an opportunity to take stock of the fire prevention system. "I trust in the sensitivity and responsibility of the mayors and all the administrations involved," said Angieri, "so that a shared operational plan for securing the Is Arenas pine forest is prepared in a timely manner ."

The highest city authorities, as well as several local administrators, participated in the meeting.
