"You were not of this world, you were too special. Your smile has faded and you have faded ours too. Mom, Dad, Michy and Davide". This is the heartbreaking message with which the family of Alessandro Marongiu gave their last farewell to the forty-year-old from Monserrato, who died this morning at Brotzu after a motorcycle accident that occurred during the night between Sunday and Monday on Provincial Road 4 , near the Villasor roundabout.

Marongiu, born in 1984, was riding a Kawasaki Z900: according to initial reports, he was headed toward Villasor and, for reasons yet to be ascertained, he lost control of his bike, crashing onto the asphalt. It happened around 4 am: some drivers noticed the accident and called for help. An ambulance from 118 intervened, with emergency transport in red code to Brotzu with serious thoracic trauma. Until yesterday evening, Marongiu was sedated in a pharmacological coma in the hospital's intensive care unit . But during the night he died.

On site, after the accident, the Carabinieri of the Nuraminis station intervened for the first surveys. They are now conducting investigations to clarify the dynamics. The date and time of Alessandro Marongiu's funeral will be communicated later.
