Soup. And larvae floating in the broth, in the middle of the pasta. It happened yesterday morning with (at least) one meal served for lunch at the San Francesco di Nuoro hospital.

The complaint of a patient, accompanied by quite explicit photos, bounced on social networks and reached the upper floors of the local health authority. The health company has opened an internal investigation.

The management, after consulting the number one of the hospital, states that "the catering service is completely outsourced". Upon receipt of the report, "the competent service of the prevention department, Sian (Hygiene, food and nutrition service)" was immediately alerted.

All the material was seized and "immediate discussions were initiated with the responsible company to proceed with the review of internal procedures".

The manager Paolo Cannas assures that the affair will not remain without consequences: "We intend to initiate a formal dispute with the company awarded the service", explains the general manager, "with the involvement of Dec (Director of the execution of the Contract) and Rup (Manager sole of the procedure) ".
