"Aperitif (one drink), buffet with delicious appetizers, dancing on the boat, live music. And fun guaranteed." As well as controversy.

The Municipality of Baunei is taking a stand against the tourism initiative dubbed "aperitour," organized by a travel agency in Cala Goloritzè, scheduled to conclude around 10:30 PM. Not one, but two critical communications have been issued, and not a few, against the event, which is scheduled to be held aboard a boat on the night of San Lorenzo, in front of the arch of the most beautiful beach in the world, according to "The World's 50 Best Beaches."

"Within the legitimate exercise of economic activity, every initiative is free, thank God," the administration stated, "but we cannot help but say that Cala Goloritzé is Cala Goloritzé, also because there is a rigorous system in place to protect the fragile and extraordinary ecosystem in which it is located, including strict limitations on noise pollution. We therefore hope," the message goes, "that initiatives like this will not occur."

If the message wasn't clear, the Municipality responded via social media with an ordinance from the Regional Department of the Environment, declared "still relevant," which imposes strict regulations regarding sound diffusion in a fragile environment such as our coastline. We feel compelled to recall these regulations to protect our heritage, especially when potential violations are suspected," the Municipality explains. "We question whether the initiative involves minimal noise emissions. Only if this is not the case will we publicly apologize."
