The new speed camera supplied to the local police of Quartu Sant'Elena is bearing fruit. In the first outings, 32 motorists have already been caught red-handed to exceed the speed limits.

On the Poetto seafront, in the four lanes, you run all right, up to 120 km per hour and therefore without worrying about the continuous flow of people crossing the road to reach the beach or even to take a stroll on the pedestrian and cycle promenade.

Compared to the telelaser, the new speed camera allows the detection of exceeding the speed limit in both directions of travel and also does not provide for immediate objection . This means that there is no need to immediately stop the vehicle, which is caught red-handed not with a laser beam, but when it passes in front of the equipment, with the fines that are then delivered to your home.

Obviously, the rule always applies that both the patrol and the equipment must be well marked .

And that's just the beginning. The checks will continue with the frequency of twice a week. All proceeds from the fines will be allocated to road works , from signage to repairing holes.
