Antonio Adamu, the 73-year-old pensioner injured with an iron rod by a worker in Quartu , is in better condition. The man is out of danger and has also undergone surgery on his earlobe, which was torn off during the attack. The surgery was successful.

In the next few hours the alleged attacker will be questioned by the magistrate after the report that the Carabinieri of Flunini and Quartu have forwarded to the Public Prosecutor Rita Cariello. The investigations coordinated by Major Michele Cerri and Captain Ignazio Cabras have clarified the motive for the attack: the use of a parking lot in via Monte Acuto where the two reside.

No further information is available on the matter. The suspect is charged with attempted murder and grievous bodily harm.
