Summit with the regional councilor for Labor, Desirè Manca, to find a solution to the intricate dispute of the Cim workers, the industrial assembly company that operates inside the former Petrolchimico di Porto Torres. Twenty-six workers are demanding back wages for June and July, after an agreement reached on the salary for the month of May.
The dispute involves the client Eni, which awarded the contract to the Cmci Consortium, of which Cim srl was a member until a few weeks ago, the company whose contract was terminated due to the failure to pay the wages due to the workers, contracts that would have been transferred to the Cimi company. In the meantime, a dispute has arisen between Cim and the Cmci Consortium itself.
A dispute that led to the intervention of the Prefecture of Sassari, and later ended up on the table of the Region. The meeting, scheduled for September 7, between the confederal unions Fiom-Cgil and Fsm-Cisl, the regional councilor Manca, the Cmci Consortium and the Cim company, in addition to the managers of Eni (Matrìca and Versalis), has been rescheduled for the afternoon of October 7, at the headquarters of the regional council, in via Roma in Sassari.
