We cannot yet lower our guard on the fire front, after a summer that has - as usual - seen numerous days of absolute emergency. In the municipality of Orotelli, in the locality of Sa tanca noa, a large fire broke out in the countryside this afternoon, requiring the intervention of the Forestry Corps, with the support of two helicopters from the operational bases of Farcana and Anela.

To fight the fire, the director of the extinguishing operations belonging to the Orani Forestry Corps patrol is present on site and is coordinating the intervention.

In Orotelli, two months ago, a very heavy fire had already devastated the area with about 450 hectares of pastures and woods destroyed in a few hours, with over 300 dead sheep and tens of thousands of euros of damage to the structures.
