Oniferi loses its mayor. Mayor Davide Muledda, 48 years old, having been at the helm of the town for only two years, has passed away from the affection of his loved ones.
A serious illness took him away prematurely. The whole community joins together in grief and embraces the family.
Muledda leaves behind his wife and a young daughter, pain and condolences from colleagues across the island. " What shocking news ", writes the president of the ANCI and mayor of Fonni Daniela Falconi on social media.
Pietro Zedda, mayor of Tiana and president of the Union of Municipalities of Barbagia , speaks of "dramatic" news, "we are all stunned and incredulous". Zedda remembers Muledda as an "honest, courageous and capable" administrator. «We feel robbed – he concludes – of a fundamental resource available to his community and our territory».
