Oliena, man kicks dog to death in his garden: reported

They called the Carabinieri station to ask for help; their brother was beating the family dog, but unfortunately, it was all in vain. In Oliena, a young man raised the alarm, requesting police intervention, but by the time the Carabinieri arrived, the dog was already dead. The call for help came urgently: the young man explained that a relative was mistreating the animal in the family's garden, repeatedly kicking it.

The nearest emergency patrol was immediately dispatched, and by the time the officers arrived at the scene, there was nothing they could do to save the animal. At the scene, the Carabinieri found the boy and his older sister, both visibly shaken by what had happened. The two recounted watching helplessly from the window, unable to intervene to stop the attack.

The brother, described as the perpetrator of the attack, allegedly attacked the dog brutally and for no apparent reason. The testimony provided by the boys allowed the police to reconstruct the initial details of the incident, pending the intervention of the local health authority veterinarian, who, upon arriving on the scene, could only pronounce the dog dead. The perpetrator of the attack has been charged with animal cruelty. Investigations are currently underway to determine any culprits, the motives for such violence, and determine whether other parties are responsible.
