Nuoro, flames in the house: couple burned and building evacuated

A couple burned and a building evacuated . This is the toll of the fire that broke out last night in Nuoro .

The firefighters went into action around 3.40am to put out the flames in an apartment on the first floor of a condominium in via Einaudi. Upon the arrival of the police, the two people who live in the house, husband and wife, were taken over by 118.

According to what we learn, the couple suffered some burn injuries and were slightly intoxicated. While the fire brigade worked to extinguish the flames, the Carabinieri and State Police agents evacuated the building where four families live as a precaution.

The origins of the fire are still being ascertained, but from initial findings it seems that the causes may be accidental .

The damage was extensive and affected all the rooms including the furnishings, while there were no problems with the wall structures.
