Water will return to taps in Nuoro starting at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, October 2nd. Abbanoa announced today that repairs to the Jann'e Ferru aqueduct are now nearing completion.
The fault, located in the section supplying the municipalities of Nuoro and Mamoiada, required the replacement of an entire section of the pipeline. The work is expected to be completed by 8:00 PM this evening, after which technicians will begin gradually filling the aqueduct. This is a complex operation that requires time and attention: any pressure surges could cause further ruptures.
In Nuoro, water distribution will be suspended overnight to allow the city's tanks to fill completely. Water will only be reactivated at dawn.
The situation is better in Mamoiada, where - according to forecasts - a nighttime closure may not be necessary, thanks to a quicker restart of service.
