The judicial error in the Beniamino Zuncheddu case "can never be repaid" .

This was stated by the Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio regarding the former breeder who after 33 years in prison was acquitted of being the author of the Sinnai massacre on 8 January 1991, in which three shepherds died.

Last January 26 , the sentence in the review process dropped all charges for Zuncheddu with the formula "for not having committed the crime" .

" We are trying to limit this type of error also through the bill that is now in the Senate which reduces the cases of preventive detention and devolves the precautionary custody order to a collegiate judge ", added Nordio. A measure that would have solved little of the Zuncheddu case, who had been definitively sentenced to life imprisonment and was in cell due to a final sentence and not due to a precautionary custody measure.
