The appointment was for 4 pm, but it started later to allow latecomers to join the gathering and then the procession that will cross the area near the gathering.
The No green passes (which, however, reject any label, including this one) meet, as every Saturday for many months, in Piazza Garibaldi in Cagliari to support their claims, linked to the freedom of choice regarding vaccines and the abolition of “Green certificate” to carry out most of the activities that everyone carries out, starting from going to the workplace. About five hundred people according to the Police Headquarters, verbally aggressive (but the demonstration took place peacefully). "We were born free and we want to stay free", says a protester into the microphone, speaking of "a society at sunset".

Meetings and demonstrations have been banned in many squares in Italy, now that the pandemic curve has risen a lot and shows no signs of stopping. Yet as far as Cagliari is concerned, the procession is perfectly regular: the prefect of the Sardinian capital Gianfranco Tomao has authorized the weekly appointment also for this Saturday, motivating his "yes" with the fact that the processions that have taken place so far in Cagliari have always respected the rules, including those on public order. The prefect's authorization is therefore a recognition of the correctness of the demonstrators.

The protesters of the pass then moved in front of the courthouse, for new interventions and new slogans against the green certificate and against the data on Covid, judged "not sincere".

The increase in infections also in Cagliari, which until now does not risk passing into the yellow zone, could lead the Government to an extension of the measures to prevent and slow down the wave of infections that is affecting the whole of Europe, to the point that the lockdowns are back and the possession of the Green pass is beginning to be bound by granting it only to those who are vaccinated, and no longer to people who undergo a quick swab every 48 hours.
