A heavy shirt, similar to a sweater, was found today by firefighters involved in the search for Davide Manca .

It could be the 41-year-old from Cagliari missing in the Monte Arcosu area , in Siliqua, during the storm on Saturday night.

Rescuers combed the riverbed near the Medau Zirimilis dam, where yesterday they found the remains of the Jeep in which the sailor was traveling, who was swept away on board his Jeep by the swollen river while trying to reach the refuge of the WWF nature reserve.

The garment was handed over to the Carabinieri who will carry out all the necessary checks .

Third day of searches today in the Monte Arcosu area : firefighters with the Alpine Fluvial Nucleus, canine units, drones and telecommunications specialists, together with Alpine Rescue technicians, also combed the area today until the light allowed it. The searches, suspended again at 18:30, will resume in the morning.
