Monserrato, the conditions of the trader who was hit remain serious

Marco Deriu, the 57-year-old businessman injured yesterday evening in the accident on Via Cesare Cabras in Monserrato, remains in serious condition. The man, who runs a dog grooming salon a few meters away from the scene of the accident, is hospitalized at Brotzu with a reserved prognosis.

He was apparently hit by a Toyota driven by a twenty-three-year-old, who tested negative to a breathalyzer test, which was administered by the local police who are continuing their investigations to reconstruct what happened.

The man, who fell heavily to the ground, was rescued and taken by ambulance to Brotzu. He was apparently hit in the pedestrian crossing, where he was crossing.
