The investigation into the accident at the Monserrato construction site for laying fiber optic cables has been closed.

The Carabinieri, coordinated by Lieutenant Davide Revelant and Lieutenant Pierapolo Saiu, reconstructed the dynamics of the accident, confirming that the injured man, a 49-year-old Spaniard, was hit while working on a manhole built right along the fiber optic network.

He was hit by a forklift driven by another worker, a 42-year-old Portuguese man. Rescue was immediate, with an ambulance arriving and transporting the injured man to Brotzu Hospital, where he remains hospitalized with a critical prognosis .

The Carabinieri reconstructed the dynamics of the accident through an inspection and by questioning witnesses.
