Round of confidential meetings of the Attorney General Luigi Patronaggio in the judicial offices of the North of the Island, a few days after the armed assault on the Mondialpol headquarters in Sassari .

This morning Patronaggio had a discussion with the public prosecutor of Tempio, Gregorio Capasso, and with all the deputies. No statement after the conclusion of the meeting.

The feeling is that of a visit that serves as a signal, with the General Prosecutor's Office closing ranks after the Caniga events and not only from an investigative point of view. Patronaggio did not talk about the attack, but the climate is that of an all-out verification of what happened in Sassari: we talk about the response of the police to the bandits and the prevention measures. Something didn't work, that's the concept, and the consequences were very serious. A fundamental step is scheduled for tomorrow, in Sassari, with the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security. One thing is certain, the General Prosecutor's Office considers the events in Sassari to be a topic of regional, if not even national, importance.

The public prosecutor of Tempio, Gregorio Capasso, receives the support of Patronaggio in the difficult "dispute", opened with the Ministry of Justice, on the situation of the Gallura judicial offices.

The Tempio Prosecutor's Office is in a dramatic situation, with the administrative staff reduced by 50 percent and with prosecutors who are not in a position to follow murder trials. There is a lack of magistrates and chancellors, furthermore the judicial police staff is reduced to a minimum. The Gallura Prosecutor's Office operates in Olbia, a city which has all the demographic and economic indicators, in strong growth.
