The fire that devastated the house of two elderly spouses from Maracalagonis in Via De Gasperi has been put out. After a few hours of hard work the firefighters contained the fire, then started the clean-up operations and launched investigations to trace the causes of the flames.
A fire that still seems accidental, at least this is the first hypothesis of firefighters and police.
The landlady ended up in hospital for checks with some light burns. Placed in a 118 ambulance, the woman - Carmela Agus - is now under observation. His condition does not cause concern.
The two spouses will now be hosted by their family members, as their house is uninhabitable due to the extensive damage caused by the fire.
