Paolo Randaccio, the seventy-year-old who on September 9, 2021 killed his wife, Angelica Salis, 60, with a knife at the height of an argument in the family apartment in the historic center of Quartucce, is back behind bars.

This morning the Carabinieri of Mandas executed the prison order against him: he will have to serve 8 years, 3 months and 7 days of imprisonment.

The man, a pensioner living in via Garibaldi, had been arrested in flagrante delicto: he himself called 112 after the crime: "Come, I killed my wife" he said, waiting for the soldiers on the landing. When the police arrived, the woman was lying lifeless, with a knife stuck in her neck.

The investigations, conducted by the Carabinieri of Selargius and the Operative and Radiomobile Unit of Cagliari, reconstructed years of abuse and domestic violence, culminating in the brutal murder .

It was not an isolated outburst, but the epilogue of a long spiral of psychological and physical abuse . Now, after the accumulation of convictions and the final pronouncement of the judges, the man has been transferred to the prison of Uta, where he will serve the remaining sentence.
