Accident at work this morning in the industrial area of Tossilo, in Macomer, in the Md sorting center. A worker was crushed by a sliding door that, according to initial information, came off the track and fell on him: he was hit between the back and legs. His name is Andrea Pilleri, he is from Villacidro and he is 53 years old.

The tragedy was narrowly avoided in the warehouse of the sorting center of a supermarket chain . The dynamics are still to be reconstructed, but according to what has been learned the worker was busy with maintenance of the structure that, recently, had been hit by a moving vehicle.

The man was extracted by his colleagues, who immediately rushed to help him, who also alerted the emergency services: the police, firefighters and Areus helicopter arrived on the scene.

The injured person is not in danger of life and could “get by” with some fractures. The police and firefighters of Macomer intervened, as well as the technicians of Spresal.
