Replying to Ilbono , a week later, this evening the community of Loceri gathered for a torchlight procession in memory of the 22-year-old killed with three stab wounds on March 1st in Bari Sardo . A large crowd took part in the second torchlight procession, organized by a group of local youths, starting from Piazza Nonnu Melis.

In a surreal silence, the procession passed through the streets of the town in the presence of teenagers, adults and administrators, including the mayors of Loceri and Ilbono, Gianfranco Lecca and Giampietro Murru. In the square, the kids who promoted the initiative hung several white sheets with messages inviting people to break down the wall of silence: "Enough silence, speak up", "We demand the truth so that violence does not have the last word". At the end of the torchlight procession, the thanks of Marco Mameli's parents to the population were read. 43 days after the murder in via Santa Cecilia, Marco Mameli's killer still does not have a name. The Lanusei Prosecutor's Office is investigating against unknown persons.
