Four gunshots, all hit. So Antonio Pisu died , inside the attic that he would have liked to be occupied by his daughter and not by Luigi Piras, that Cagliari teacher who arrived about ten years ago who did not want to leave even with an eviction order from the judge .
The epilogue took place yesterday morning around 10.30 at number 52 in via Agricola, in Monserrato. His son Marcello Pisu jumped into the apartment attached to his but could not do anything to save him: he managed to disarm Piras, even punch him and then immobilize him. Then he placed the gun on a shelf and waited, together with a worker from the nearby construction site, for the arrival of the police.
THE MOTION - An apparently inexplicable crime that matured on the edge of a deteriorated relationship between landlord and tenant, in this case also between two retirees almost the same age (the victim was 79, the other 75).
The hypothesis of the men of the Cagliari mobile team is that yet another discussion about the apartment and the rent has arisen between Pisu and Piras. It all started with a fight in which Piras was perhaps succumbing. For this he grabbed a 7.65 that he kept in the refrigerator, a singular hiding place that would not have aroused suspicion in the rival. Grabbing the gun and taking Pisu by surprise, Piras fired one, two, three, four shots from close range.
THE SON OF THE VICTIM - Around 1pm, Marcello Pisu left the Police Headquarters after a first deposition and returned with some agents to via Agricola. To those who asked him how it had gone he tried to explain, by gesticulating, what he had experienced a few hours before: “I found him with the gun in his hand pointing it at me - he said, mimicking the gun with his index finger -. I jumped on him and tried to catch it ”.
"He was nervous - he added - and I was nervous too, I had to give him a couple of shots, then I kept him still under me. I snatched the gun from his hand and placed it on a piece of furniture".
