Two people this afternoon found themselves in difficulty in the waters of Is Arutas and were brought ashore by two swimmers. The mishap ended well but there were moments of fear given the conditions of the sea which, with the very strong mistral wind, is very rough.

In the early afternoon a girl and a man were on the shoreline when they were dragged by the current and could no longer get back to shore. Other swimmers triggered the alarm, while two of them immediately dived into the water and managed to save the girl and the man who were in great difficulty at the mercy of the waves. So much so that when they arrived on the beach they were exhausted, fortunately the intervention of the doctors was not necessary.

In Is Arutas, as in the rest of the Sinis coast, the sea rescue service has not yet been activated. Mayor Andrea Abis had recommended maximum caution.
