Beniamino Zuncheddu is with the guarantor of prisoners, Irene Testa. The radical exponent in recent days denounced unacceptable conditions of detention inside the Bancali prison, in Sassari and was inundated with insults. On social media many, too many, have lashed out against her and against those locked behind bars, including a young man who had started a hunger strike. "Lock her up too," was for Testa. "Better, because soon there will be the swimsuit test," was for the boy who had started the protest. And these were the lightest comments.
Beniamino Zuncheddu was in prison for over thirty years: a sentence served for a massacre that, according to the sentences, he did not commit. The Burcei breeder sent a message to Testa: "Those who do not know the reality of prisons and everything that surrounds it cannot understand how much suffering there is," he begins, and then continues: "You have to try it to believe it, and I thank every day that there are people with a human heart who take care of the least," is the thought for the guarantor.
Then the warning: "In life, no one can be sure that they won't drink this water: unfortunately, I would never have thought that something like this could happen to me, so never say "it won't happen to me". I thank so much all those people who, like you, take prisoners to heart, as well as their families".
