The man who was hit yesterday along provincial road 59 in Arzachena died in hospital this morning .
The victim is a 62-year-old tourist. Yesterday late morning he was on the side of the road with his Ferrari near Cannigione, he got out of the car and was hit by an oncoming vehicle . The driver of the vehicle was a man of almost 90 years old who drove away without providing assistance . Tracked down shortly after by the Carabinieri near his home, he said he did not realize he had hit a person . He now risks being investigated for road homicide.
The victim's conditions did not seem very serious, he was alert when the rescuers loaded him into the ambulance to take him to the hospital in Sassari with a head injury. But the situation worsened in a few hours, this morning the death .
