Terrible crash on a two-lane stretch between San Teodoro and Budoni

Still injured on Sardinian roads. Shortly before 3.30 pm on the 131 Dcn, at kilometer 118, a minivan collided with a lorry coming in the opposite direction inside the Berruiles tunnel, between Budoni and San Teodoro.
Three injured people were urgently transferred to hospital under code red.
The most serious is a 33-year-old young man, of Romanian origin but in Sardinia for some time, transferred to Sassari by air ambulance. The other two (one is a forty-two year old, also Romanian) were taken to Olbia aboard two ambulances.
The terrible collision occurred where the road narrows to one lane in each direction and the impact was extremely violent. The injured were extracted from the sheets with hydraulic shears.
The Nuoro traffic police, the firefighters and the 118 rescuers were on site .
During the rescue and removal phases of the vehicles, the road was closed in both directions, reopening in the evening. From Olbia to Nuoro you exit at San Tedoro/Staulas and return to the Agrustos crossroads. Vice versa in the other sense.
