Inconvenience for a group of passengers departing on Saturday afternoon from Cagliari-Elmas airport for Florence.
Volotea flight V7 01332 to Florence, which was supposed to take off around 4pm, was in fact delayed by four hours and was rescheduled for 8pm. Not only that: the destination airport was changed. No longer Florence, but Pisa.
A situation that has created "severe inconvenience" for travellers, as one of them, Mattia Virdis, tells L'UnioneSarda.it: "Hours of delay. They handed us 5 euros each for a sandwich that costs 8 euros. Furthermore, the flight to Florence was diverted to Pisa, creating further problems for passengers."
Shortly after 8.15pm the plane finally took off: from Pisa airport there was supposed to be a shuttle to Florence, but upon landing there was a nasty surprise: «We didn't find any Volotea bus waiting for us to go to Florence», he confirms Virdis: «All the passengers, in short, remained on the street».
