Fires, 30 families removed in Ittireddu and damage: Canadair in flight

Fourteen fires that devastated Sardinia today, eight of which were extinguished with the help of air vehicles, including the national fleet.

Over 17 hectares of land in smoke .

The most dangerous situation was seen in Ittireddu , in the locality of "Pala De Chimonte": the flames licked the inhabited center , damaging the roof of a house . The mayor also evacuated some houses with 30 residents who, however, have already returned to their homes.

On site, in addition to the ground teams of the Forestry Corps, firefighters and volunteers, three helicopters and a Canadair, while the Super Puma and another Canadair also intervened in the afternoon. Altogether 10 hectares of Mediterranean scrub and trees went up in smoke.

The flames have also approached the houses in Capoterra , in the locality of "Podere San Giuseppe". Two helicopters from the regional fleet intervened here.

Other fire fronts in Assemini, Ittiri, Alà dei Sardi, Bonacardo and Sardara. In addition to three helicopters and the Super Puma from the Ittireddu fire, the A500 helicopter of the Italian Air Force and LIMA 04 of the Army took off on this last fire.
