Gonnesa, fire between Su Prelau and Sa Cabriola

A fire broke out this afternoon in Gonnesa.

The flames started from the reeds of Sa Masa and, pushed by the wind, reached Su Prelau and Sa Cabriola, not far from the first homes.

The helicopter from Pula arrived in Gonnesa and, with repeated launches, prevented the fire from getting closer to the houses. The teams on the ground are working to clean up the areas affected by the fire.

On site firefighters, Forestry Corps, barracelli of Gonnesa, Advag, Iglesias Rescue, civil protection of Villamassargia. “We thank all those who helped put out the fire,” said the mayor of Gonnesa Pietro Cocco.
